There are hardier folk than me who cycle all year round, but they are taking risks. While Edmonton has made some improvements over the years, there is still a lack of practical, continuous cycle paths that are maintained throughout the winter. Riding on our roads is hazardous even in summer, never mind amoung cars with frosted windows and on the icy mire of our winter roads.
As can be seen in the video below, winter cycling can be done if urban planners make it a priority.
